Sports Massage

“Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments. It is applicable not just to sports people but anyone wishing to guard against, or recover from, a soft tissue injury” – The Sports Massage Association

Whilst all of us will benefit from a skillfully applied general massage to help us through the general wear and tear of modern life or as a special treat, there are times when an injury, or condition, specific treatment is required.

With the recent growth and interest in major sporting events over the last two decades and the corresponding leap of professionalism in sport, the requirements of the modern sportsman have grown enormously. No serious team or athlete would consider competing without the support of specialist professionals, such as nutritionists and sports injury therapists.

For those not involved in competitive sports, situations often arise where a course of remedial massage can reduce recovery time from injury, assist in reversing long term conditions and improve mobility and quality of life.

All initial appointments will begin with a consultation and postural analysis prior to any course of treatment being commenced.

I am also available for pre- and post- event treatments and Pitchside First Aid as required.

I am a full member of the Sports Massage Association, please see their website for further information.
